Rainy days are another one of those times when I know that only crazy people are photojournalists. I could be cuddled up watching movies in my bed but instead, I head for the grey skies and puddles to see what I can create. What you don’t see is my boyfriend holding an umbrella over my head photographing caution tape at the park… the things we do for love. Another act of kindness was while photographing the Panera employee, Andres Coto, it started to rain again and my boyfriend stayed in the car. Of course, I was underprepared but dedicated to framing that boys face perfectly within the letters so I was willing to wait for the moment and get wet. After a couple of minutes, I was clearly wet but I didn’t mind too much my camera and I were fine enough. Next thing I know Andres comes out and hands me a Panera rain jacket to use while I stand there. It was so kind and made my day! Small acts of kindness do make a difference!
